Great Article from the Athens Paper http://www.onlineathens.com/stories/120303/dog_20031203029.shtml Even he knows LSU will win.... :geaux: :lsug: :geaux: :lsug: :geaux: :lsug: :geaux: :lsug: :geaux
I think that Richt is attempting to allow his team to use the "underdog" status... Vegas has already stated that this game will be close, which means that the team that's fared better, and won on the field already once, is still not getting the respect it deserves... Yet Georgia is trying to take the underdog role for inspiration... I'm sorry, but when you lose on the field by 17-10, and you look poor doing it, and then you're still almost in a virtual dead heat with the team you beat, then that's not being a favorite. That's being disrespected.
I think that the same could be stated about our Tigers. LSU will need to bring it's "A" game on both sides of the football in order to beat the Bulldogs. Should the team that showed up against Ole Miss shows up on Saturday, we'll be in for a longggggg night. My opinion is that Saban will have them ready to go. IF Mauck plays like he played against Arkansas, we'll be in good shape. Just my 2 cents
The article was interesting for two reasons. First, it identified which games Georgia did well in and in what games Georgia rang up an average performance. This reporter did not talk about the relationship these games had with the injury charts. Second, Richt does not like to run up the score on any team. Georgia called off the Dawgs after Tech was down 27-3. I think Richt didn't want a repeat of the 51-7 drilling of Tech last year as Chan Galen was a rookie coach then and Richt took heat in the Atlanta papers for it. If the current health of the Georgia team is any indication of how they will play on Saturday, it should be a repeat of the performance against Tennessee. Fred Gibson, Jeremy Thomas, Craig Lumpkin and Ben Watson are all healthy for this game. None of them were in good shape when the Dawgs played LSU in Baton Rouge. LSU will primarily see a big difference in, "blocking."
I agree but the majority of people outside of Athens/Atlanta believe LSU will win so I believe taking the underdog role is good!
The Georgia players are saying about the same thing... "It's good for our team to see that we are being overlooked in this game. I hope it makes everyone go out and play even harder!" Thomas Davis But after having watched both LSU and Georgia play in numerous games this season, I have to say that I truly expect Georgia to win.
Southlink you must not be watching ESPN or reading the national media. All the "College Football" experts on ESPN are picking UGA. Trev Alberts said UGA wins easily..... Also based on the way the line is moving it appears the money agrees UGA wins this match. Just FYI.. PS I love the heck out that picture of UGA biting the Auburn player... Chip, I am just curious, I dont make predictions however I am curious why you think from what you have seen from LSU and what you have seen from UGA makes you so sure UGA wins this one. I am just curious...
Texas, that is how I am getting to the thought of LSU winning according to everyone. Granted, Alberts say ESPN will win....go check out Fox, CBS, and others....its all LSU.
I simply believe that Georgia will be able to move the ball. Georgia will bring a very balanced attack with more weapons this time. Greene will get better blocking with Ben Watson and Jeremy Thomas in the game. Greene is a very accurate passer if he gets the time, especially with no wind and cold to deal with. Lumpkin is the Georgia equivalent of Vincent. Although this was a rebuilding year for Georgia, this team has matured to the point where they have what it takes to win against the best. The 2004 rankings posted on this board a few days ago show Georgia as being pre-season #2. The very same team that LSU will face on Saturday.
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezus, help us! Vegas cannot get a grip on this LSU team ... little man ... there is NO DISRESPECT. You're all Wet ... as usual ... and buying into the Vegas Chump Line. That's why the Vegas books are getting it rammed up their arses every week by those betting heavy on LSU ... like YOUR DADDY. LSU came out of nowhere this year. Watch Vegas next year ... you'll see lines where LSU is favored by unbelievably large numbers. Will that be enough RESPECT for you? Vegas doesn't take it "on the chin" for too long. LSU is 9/11 vs the spread on the year, only FL & UM games lost. LSU is 9/11 vs the spread on the year ... over 80% LSU is 9/11 vs the spread on the year .... UNHEARD OF!!!!!!!!! Said it 3 times so it might sink in ... Vegas hasn't a clue about LSU ... this team came out of nowhere ... Preseason #14 The Vegas post of LSU -3 ... LOL ... even they know that won't hold. I heard the shite last week when I picked LSU 63-7. You detractors can bite me. Nick plays 4 quarters and its 71-17 ... but he played the Seniors and 55-24. Good for him! Kudos to Nick! Wake up, you whimpering scared little pussies ... don't listen to this idiot TE and his scare tactics about how great Georgia is and how close this game's gonna be. LSU 42, Georgia 10 BET YOUR HOUSE ON LSU and give 3 points. Money in the bank. And hey, if Vegas hasn't a clue about LSU .... how can you expect the rest of these SLEEPING SHEEP in College FB to know anything either. If LSU doesn't cover the spread against Georgia, I'll disappear from Tigerforums.com for good. And you, little man ... belong in a halfway house for wayward whimpering vermin.
