Was on campus and saw some players with their visitors for the weekend.

They said JaMarcus will not be playing in the bowl game (at least they thought so).

Said Flynn would transfer before R.P did (not that either will).

They said they are excited to play the canes, quite upset about the SEC Champ game. They all said they liked Les Miles and none of them ever bought into the Colorado job.

I saw Matt Flynn Saturday night and he said no one really knows if JaMarcus is going to play. He said that all the coaches have been recruiting, and no one really knows anything right now.

Matt Kennedy on WJBO yesterday morning reported that Russell will not play and in addition to separating his shoulder, he tore some cartlidge in his shoulder.........may not need surgery but will not play.

Last week Hanagriff said JR will not play in the bowl game. Besides, even if he could, it is not worth risking a more serious injury. He needs to be up and running for the spring.

That's good in a way...It keeps Flynn geared to practice as if he is the starter (though I know it's been said many times that Flynn prepares as if he was the starter since day 1).

I am confident about Flynn's smarts. Hope he stays poised like Matt Mauck and plays within himself. Also hope all the other players on the team know it is time to step up and help Flynn out against a tough Miami defense.

This is Matt's time to show his capabilities. If he can show his stuff here then he gets a fair shot at starting next year.

If he doesnt have a great game then if i were him i would transfer because it will probably be his last fair shot at starting.

I think Matt has been a class act and i hope for his sake he does well and he has more options then. I hate to see a QB with that much talent never get the chance to play on a regular basis.

From JR i think we go to Ryan Perriloux and Matt is just caught in bad timing. There are many years he would have been our starter hands down.

I feel bad for Matt that he is handicapped with not having been given much game experience to grow. Hope he is smart enough to overcome that.
