http://www.wvgazette.com/section/Sports/2005112640?pt=17 Some excerpts: That was one of the few rebounds the Mountaineers got, though. LSU held a 51-29 rebounding edge and had 20 offensive rebounds. It was much worse in the first half, though, when the margin was 31-10. As an example of what that meant, LSU missed 20 shots in the first half and got 14 of the rebounds. West Virginia, meanwhile, missed 21 shots and LSU got 17 of those rebounds. “They’re just so big and so athletic,’’ Gansey said of the Tigers, who featured, among others, 6-foot-9, 310-pound forward Glen “Big Baby” Davis, who had 23 points and 14 rebounds. “I think they’re more athletic than Texas or Kentucky.’’
they looked good at times but still sometimes they made some of the worst passes and turnovers you can imagine....but they found a way to win last night.....by january this team will be tough to beat..
Indeed. I'm finding it really hard to figure out if a thread is about football or basketball when I see LSU - WVU, :hihi: I think that the comment on us being more physical than Texas or Kentucky is a bit much, but if indeed it's true, WVU would know. :geauxtige
I am not a big BB fan, but it seems like LSU has the talent and potential to do well this year. Personally, I have always had doubts about the coaching, but not watching a lot of BB I may be off base on that.
the quote was about athleticism not physical, big difference. doubt if LSU is as physical as UK but i wouldnt be surprised if LSU is more athletic
