Hey Tigers - It's been a long, slow off-season, but CFB is finally here. Putting aside the occasional smack, I've enjoyed the football talk & just wanted you to know that y'all have a great team and should do very well this season. Hope you stay healthy, represent the SEC with pride, and good luck this season (except against my Tigers).

You can start by whuppin' up on those Pac-10 weenies from OSU. Looking forward to watching CWeb return one against the Beavers. :thumb: Good luck.

Looking forward to the season as well. I know us SEC breathren fight like dogs when we play but i always pull for SEC when i can.

These idiots in the media think the new ACC is the number 1 conference. Thats alot of bunk.

Lets show em this year and win all our out of conference games.

It's good to have good Auburn fans. Good luck to you guys to, but geez.....you all are playing, well, good luck anyway (not that you need it). SEC always!!!!

    Calco......

I was in San Jose 3 weeks ago, and I surely didn't see much college football atmosphere going on there. Just the occasional CAL billboard, or Stanford commercial, but nothing was really going on with the fan base. Is it always like that? By the way, my wife is from San Jose, so we go back once a year to visit her family. Very very very VVVEEEERRYYYY nice weather

Yeah I really miss the atmosphere of college football. I have been to a Stanford game and i have seen more enthusiasm at a Funeral than you do at their games. I saw people bring books to read and it was a disgrace. Wash St was ranked 6 in the country and the stands were about a third full.

I have not been to a Cal. game yet but i think they may be a little better but not much.

With this many people in the Bay area you would think they could generate some excitement .

I am thinking about going to the Stanford USC game here this year and wearing all my LSU gear and rubbing the real National Champion in their faces.

The only thing i am afraid of is Stanford stadium is in such terrible shape i might fall through the stand due to rotten wood. Half of the seats are covered in tarps so it wont look so empty and so people wont fall through.

That Pac 10 really cares about their football dont they. What a disgrace.

I do have to admit that the weather is nice here but i would love to be closer so i could go to more LSU games.

I am trying to talk my wife into retiring to the Baton Rouge area if i agree to stay here till then. In about 12 to 15 years.

It's true what you say about the atmosphere and tradition of college football in the SEC. I sometimes think we in the SEC may take it for granted, but if you've ever moved out of the Southeast for a period of time, you really begin to look beyond the smack and begin to appreciate and cherish the positives of such a great culture. Here's hoping we never lose that........ :thumb:

Will never happen. Football is so ingrained in southern culture that it would take a national, no, global catastrophe to change it. I cant walk 10 feet down the hall at my office without getting into a football argument, er, I mean, discussion.
