I've heard that a lot, and Collins was an unreal talent. However, his sample size is so small with LSU that I'm certain Fournette will surpass anything that Collins did. His horrible character cuts him out of the discussion. It was really exciting last night seeing all of the highlights of Fournette last night. He was beyond incredible yesterday.
I think the officiating in the LSU game was good. No picky fouls, they let them play. On the whole, the SEC referees just don't seem to call holding any more unless it is really flagrant. I'm not sure if I like that much.
Fournette is like if Adrian Peterson and Barry Sanders had a child. He has the power, speed, and agility unlike no one I have ever seen. I'm thinking Payton is more comparable. He can run your ass over, he can cut, stop and stutter, make you miss, he can stop completely, then turn it on and hit the edge and still out run the D. He is the real deal, and he seems like a really good kid too. I bet him having to stay on the Claiborne bridge waiting to get saved might have a little to do with his humility.
I don't think they call holding anymore either, saw quite a few. Overall yes, pretty solid job, however You gotta admit they have to start calling the illegal man downfield.
He was on the field some, but there aren't many passes to spread around. I didn't think officiating was too bad, but the bar for officiating in the SEC is extraordinarily low. I would definitely add LB tackling to the bad. Too much hitting and not enough wrapping up. Also saw some extra yards given up because the tackles weren't finished.
I was pleased with the speed of the D not allowing anything to get outside. A few times it looked as if something might break and they closed really well.
I think we also have to add to Harris that even though he is overshooting some receivers he is throwing the ball where his guy gets it or no one does.
Yes, they do. Ours was egregious. Then, there was the questionable TD in the Ole Miss/Bama game that was the difference in the score.
