It is certainly fortuitous that Ole Miss & LSU are having great years. Without sounding like an ole fart, I miss the days of LSU-Ole Miss wars when something was at stake. Although I was too young for the Billy Cannon days, I've read about it. I was a freshman during the 17-16 (1 second left on the clock) game in 1972. Back then (I mean it), at the end of every game we yelled 'Go to Hell Ole Miss all the way from our seat until we were out of the stadium. Here's the kicker. We did it for all games. That's right, after we would beat Texas A&M we would yell "Go to hell Ole Miss", etc, etc. Through the years rivals such as Texas A&M, Florida State, Auburn, Arkansas, & Florida have at times been more important. But...beating a Manning is so much more fun. I hope Eli the best, except this Saturday. LSU will roll & by the way.... Go to Hell Ole Miss!
