    For Basketball Argument:

Mark my words. Glenn Davis will be an LSU basketball player. Glenn has been competing all summer long in top notch camps around the nation. Has he been attending any football camps? No he hasn't. Glenn's future is in basketball. This is just my opinion. I got to see him play basketball and football. I saw him play against Iota last year in the Class AA playoffs when University High was using him at running back. Don't get me wrong he's a great athlete, but a better and more polished basketball player.
I can't wait to see Glenn Davis, Tasmin Mitchell, Brandon Bass, Ross Nelter, Tack Minor, and Darrell Mitchell on LSU's basketball team at the same time!!!

    For Football Argument:

Glenn Davis has the tools to be a phenominal football player. Most of us have seen the highlight clips from his games last year, and they're pretty awesome. I haven't seen him play basketball, but all reports are that he is good there. However, I wonder if he is getting good advice about his future. It seems to me far more probable that he could one day be a highly paid NFL player than a heavy 6'6" NBA player. I'm certain he could play eiher sport on a college level, and excell. I'm not certain at all that the NBA would be in his future. The only example I can think of someone that short who succeeded inside-outside was Charles Barkley. In other words, its very rare.

Does anyone know if any pro scouts have given him any straight advice about basketball?

I've never seen him play in person, but it does seem that the NFL leaves more margin for error than the NBA. Many of the 2nd Rounders in the NBA end up playing in Europe, whereas the NFL 2nd Rounders are more likely to turn onto Starters or qualitiy Backups. Either way an interesting topic.

He decided about a few weeks ago that he was only going to play basketball in college. He doesn't even know if he will be playing his senior year of high school football.
