Glaring difference between North/South Korea

Blacks areas = undeveloped areas. ( In the North, only Pyongyang is developed )

Blue areas = developed areas. ( The South )

 

north korea is very very weird. they have one of the world's largest buildings, the ryugyong hotel, in pyongyang, but due to their economic and architectural mismanagement, is an empty shell, eerily towering over the whole city, like a massive empty haunted sears tower, never to be finished or safe for use:



that whole building is completely unusable. communism sucks.

 

if we drew a line across the united states like that, and made me king of one half, i would institute such policies of economic freedom, that my side of the US would make the rest of the US look like north korea.

 

shhhh.

i am only reiterating my point that any country is successful to the extent that they have economic freedom. thats why we should vote for libertarians, and failing that, republicans. but the red55s of the world are encouraging people to vote democrat and trying to turn america in a backwards communist state.

 

i was kidding. i used the term "backwards communist state", hoping that level of exaggeration would make that clear.

nevertheless both parties, and democrats more than republicans, are for taxation to an extent that it cripples the economy. even people who claim to be free market republicans still favor billions and billions of dollars on ridiculous programs like social security and farm subsidies.

and voting mccain is particularly terrible.

so when i look at that map, i take it as more evidence that economic freedom directly equals prosperity, and that is a lesson we should remember when doing things like supporting deomcratic candidates who want to "roll back tax cuts".

 

South Korea, looks like a congested, overpopulated, claustrophic-inducing, ant-pile.

Give me miles and miles of open country.

Now here's the key, and both sides pay attention: Economic development does not equate to "winning" anything, individual happiness does.

 

That thing looks like a ride at a fun park. What were those people thinking? We will build giant hotel and not let anyone use it. It could be a shell cover for a weapon of mass murder. Quick Bush to the bat jet.
