It saddens many Tiger fans, but this was the right call. There are thousands of people displaced in Baton Rouge at or near the LSU campus. I personally salute the leadership of LSU for this move. Football is secondary right now.
but morale shouldn't be underestimated either. I won't get into an indepth argument-laden discussion about this, but in 3 weeks, if the Tennessee game is moved to Knoxville, I'll be calling for some heads. Don't think that you can keep taking things away from the people of Louisiana without possibly creating something worse. (first with Kitrina taking houses, jobs, lives, and then follow that up with one of the few things that a vast majority of these people have left--LSU football). People are frustrated enough....you take EVERY possible thing that the aggitated can look forward to, and you're looking at more aggrivation and more unrest. Sounds silly I know...but college football in the south DOES have that affect on people. At some point, you've GOT to start looking at giving the people SOMETHING to take part in, distract them from their problems and FINALLY give them somthing to cheer about.
I agree that it was the right thing to do. Also, I dont think they'll move the game to Knoxville. I think that LSU handled this situation right.
