We should use Les Miles as our broker for all money we donate to TAF. Les could then give the money to TAF and use the tax write off to cover his taxes. In essence, we would still pay him the same salary but on paper it would show that he's making 10+ million per year. Saban's contract says he will be the highest paid coach, so Bama would have to raise another 6+ million per year. Now for those wondering why Bama couldn't then do the same thing, just remember who we're talking about. Would you trust Saban and Jimmy Sexton when they say..."sure we'll pass that money on to the athletic foundation"..."trust us"? :hihi:
Les will definitely get a big bonus and a raise for his second consecutive 11-win season and bowl victory, as he did last year. Skip was not going to pour money all over Miles until he proved himself, but he will be generous. We want Les to earn that money by continuing to win. Bama actually has aided Les Miles propects of higher pay here. Les has incentive clauses based on the highest-paid coaching salary in the SEC. If he meets those incentives his payout will double!
