Tenth-seeded LSU (55-10) will face seventh-seeded Arizona State in Tempe in the best-of-three NCAA Super Regional starting with a doubleheader on Friday, May 25. A double header. It will test pitching depth. And on Arizona States home turf. :dis: Come on ladies, go to the World Series.
BTW. I'm watching some highlites on ESPN. I don't understand why so many female athletes are overweight. I bet they could function so much better if they were more in shape.
ASU will likely open with: Katie Burkhart struck out 10 on the day en route to her 33rd win of the season, which ties her for the ASU single-season record for wins with Erica Beach's effort in the 2002 season. Burkhart's 10 K's also move her to 473 on the season, good for fourth all-time in Pac-10 single-season history and 16th all-time in NCAA history. She's also tallied 1,113 career strikeouts, putting her 23rd all-time in NCAA history in career strikeouts as a junior LSU needs to keep the bats going to move on. :thumb:
I checked out how the other top SEC teams were doing and Bama advanced to the Regional Championship and they have to beat Tenn Tech twice. Tenn Tech beat them in the opener 4-2. Tenn is undefeated in their regional, dont know who they will be playing. Georgia has to beat Washington twice in the final. SC has to beat Oregon twice to advance to a Super. MSU played in elimination game to advance into the final tonight but dont know the outcome, they will have to win twice if they advance.
T.V. just makes you "Look" overweight. :hihi: Seriously though, the best ones are in shape. Often you'll see a big hitter who they park at the corners.
It was a great game and an impressive performance by the Lady Tigers. Congrats to the team and coaches! :geauxtige
See you there. You guys should start getting that spare room straight, since I'm bringing the wife and kids. Thanks for offering to put us all up. :hihi:
My wife and I got up early and got alot of packing done for our move next weekend so I convinced her to attend the stanford vs LSU softball game this evening. What a great game. The lady tigers have quite a team this year. It was great getting to see the Tigers play here on the west coast. LSU had the same amount of fans there as hometown Stanford. Maybe even more, and definitely more enthusiastic. Geaux Tigers!!
