I was very young. My aunt and uncle took me to a UNC football game. He was a new prof there. My uncle had binoculars. At one point I noticed he was not looking at the players. I said, quite innocently, “Unc, what are you looking at?" My aunt said "The GD cheerleaders asses." Pretty sure that was the first time I heard "GD" and "asses," all in one sentence. Made an impression on a young lad!
I want to be fair and understanding of women’s sports, and allow their fans to appreciate the game, but look at this picture: this place looks like a hotel conference room. It is a women’s college basketball game. And not Podunk Tech versus Podunk state, it’s Auburn versus Indiana. Two major schools and they’re playing a basketball game in a freaking conference room!
