Giants Sign Second-Round Pick Webster By Associated Press August 2, 2005, 10:44 AM CDT ALBANY, N.Y. -- Defensive back Corey Webster, the New York Giants' second-round draft pick, signed a contract and was expected at training camp Tuesday. Webster, out of LSU, was the team's last unsigned player. Contract details were not immediately disclosed. "I am not going to hold it against him," coach Tom Coughlin said after Tuesday morning's workout. "I am disappointed, but that's part of the business and he'll be out there later today." Webster, a two-time All-American, was the Giants' top draft pick. The team had traded its No. 1 pick to San Diego last season in the deal that brought quarterback Eli Manning to New York. Webster is expected to contribute as a nickel defensive back and possibly challenge incumbent cornerback Will Allen for a starting slot. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune...,1,2440307.story?coll=sns-ap-sports-headlines
