Anyone else deer hunting this season? I've joined a club in Avoyelles Parish that's run by an old family friend. I've had poison ivy 4 times in 2 months trying to get my stands ready. Apparently I don't know what poison ivy looks like. This past Sunday my wife snapped a pic of me next to a cypress while we were clearing a shooting lane. This is the smaller of 3 large cypress trees near my stand. The other pic is of another impressive cypress not too far away, the 2 trees in the background of the 2nd pic were large according to my previous standards. I thought you guys might enjoy these trees, I would like to have seen the day when trees like this were the norm across south Louisiana. View attachment 12359 View attachment 12360
