The way I see it, Either everyone starts to hate you, or everyone jumps on the bandwagon and starts becoming a fan.
Actually I have to disagree a bit, I have been doing a ton of reading and watching and it appears that the hating so to speak is at the BCS and OU. The argument is LSU deserves its shot, as proven by the fact LSU is #2 in all three polls, the argument is #3 and #1. True LSU ruined the party, but after the hammering of UGA people realize this LSU team is one of the top 2 in the nation, the bitch is with OU. At least thats my take. And as far as people hating us, people have hated us for years, as Saban said this is for the State of Louisiana and our people. Everyone wanted (And predicted) LSU to fail. They didn't and they cannot be denied now. LSU is the real deal. OU and USC can fight with each other.
OU is the one who ruined everything. If they would have taken care of their business, OU and LSU would have been #1 and #2. LSU did it's job.

I think one of the reasons why Ivan Maisel rips LSU so much is b/c during gameday at the LSU/UGA game I witnessed many LSU fans throw huge F Bombs at him directly in his face. I would not have went that far, but he had a strong negative tune about LSU prior to that game. This guy is horrible. That is why they had to incorporate Dave Resine(sp) for the great show on ESPN NEWS, Coach's Corner. He reminds me so much of Ben Stine on his tone of voice. BTW, after the UGA game, he ripped LSU a new you know what about our crowd on Richard Condon's show, but Richard as his usual self did not let him get away with it and told him that LSU is no worse than any other SEC venue like Ole Miss, Florida, Auburn and UGA.
You all make good points. As a long time Gator, I know exactly what you are experiencing (the team you love to hate). I have posted here before that the Media (with few exceptions) does not have any love for the SEC in general. You guys have peed in their cornflakes. Good for you. You deserve the shot at the Championship and I hope you are succesful in grand fashion. Like tiger 1192 said OU spoiled it for them, but you are going to take the heat. If that's what it takes to expose the flaws of the BCS , Fine, just bring home the Waterford glass and they can all kiss our A##. The SEC is being represented well.
Nothing would be better than to see LSU become the team everybody loves to hate year after year after year. Like the New York Yankees.
We are getting some love around the SEC except Auburn. Over on AuTigers.com they are saying we do not run a clean program and so hopeful that Saban is gone. LOL It must suck to be the Tiggers having to look forward to that eventful day in Nashville. Then everytime they think about corndogs they think about 31-7 or going for it on 4th down and having CW $hit on himself when he sees Lavalis leading the jailbreak defense when he recieves the hand off. They should be happy they are now apart of a dynasty. Every year they get to watch a great team play and whip their ass. Things have changed, we do not hope to win, we do not say well wait till next year. We now EXPECT to beat any team that is standing on the other sideline. We not only beat you, we embarass, and dominate you. Just ask UGA. :geaux:
