Media gonna say not how great LSU played but rather Miami did not show up and play. I knew it was coming. Miami still a media darling.
No amount of media spin can change the fact that we hung 40 on the U. With a back-up Qb. And most of the second half, our back-up fullback who is probably listed ad the #5 running back laying them on their a**es.
It sounded funny when the announcers were talking about Hester being the 2nd string fullback, but I wasn't surprised by his performance. He has done nothing but impress me during his stay at LSU.
The guy is a player. He just plays his a** off every play. His attitude and work ethic remind me of Jack Hunt. Not the most talented around, but always around the ball making plays.
If any team should have had reason not to show up it would've been LSU. It has been a crazy and hard season on the field and off and a season they would want to be over. Plus LSU was top 5 with huge expectations placed on them by the media and fans and had aspirations of another national title. Miami was out of title contention after their first game. If a team had a good reason not to show up it would've been LSU and the media would've made reasons or excuses of why they didn't show up.
