That's big time news for Georgia.

He was projected as #1 round pick. Kudos to him for wanting to graduate.

David Pollack is pretty overrated. He did so good in 2002 because they double teamed Jonathan Sullivan. He was great in 2002 but didn't do what everyone thought he would do in 2003. That's great news for Dawg fans, but I'm not worried about ol David. We'll slap the goofy grin off his face when we go up there this season.

Pollack's return should be very significant, especially if the Dawgs land DT Eric McClendon. McClendon is similar to Jonathan Sullivan and will be an immediate impact player on the DL.

It will also give Charles Johnson, who committed to the Dawgs earlier, a chance to break in.

Johnson is ranked #2 nationally as a DE.
McClendon is ranked as the top Georgia recruit.

Both McClendon and Johnson are listed as 5 star recruits.

Let Pollack stay. Andrew Whitworth will show him just how overrated he is. Whit is a beast!

I'm sorry, but David Pollack has never appeared as anything other than a pedestrian, run of the mill defensive lineman in the Southeastern Conference. He made no transcendent plays against us...He didn't collapse the line, disrupt our ability to execute our running game, not to mention he was a non-factor from a pass rushing standpoint...

Jonathan Sullivan made Pollack look like an All-American, and amazingly, without NFL talent, Pollack can't dominate, he can't disrupt, he can't rush the passer, nor anything else in a manner that anyone would call more than, "late round draft potential."

He's the Dawgs version of Alex Brown, who parlayed an allegedly stellar career at UF off of the back of one game against Tennessee where he had five sacks. Only Pollack parlayed an excellent season off the back of one player, that player being Jonathan Sullivan.

The kid was an NFL starter from the day he walked onto the Saints training grounds...How can you sit there and say that Pollack did all that on his own when it's so obvious the kid was getting forgotten about as team's schemed for Sullivan...

Pollack is no 1st rounder...He might have been heading into THIS YEAR...but not heading out of it...He better hope those freshmen will take some of the heat off of him so he can look like the hero he really isn't...

right on ddt! i like whitworth to handle this guy.

imo, anyone who doesn't have respect for a healthy pollack and a healthy georgia defense just doesn't know about georgia fb. lsu caught them with a serious depth problem due to injury troubles last year and really took advantage. these dogs are coming back this year and with a healthy defensive line and have had great recruiting. they will be a force and will be looking for some payback at their house. i can't wait to see justin vincent run on them again. he won't get over 200 this year, that's for sure, but he will run well on them. imo, georgia and fla both win the east again next year.
