I think LSU will press up on the short passing game on Georgia. They seem to throw a lot of 5 yard passes. It looks like a ball control move the chains kind of offense. Greene seems to audible out alot too so the Tigers will probably throw some changing defenses at him.

I would like the Tiger offense to open it up a little and try a few more deep balls.

    What do you guys think?

It will be interesting to see Greene audible to adjust to the schemes that a defensive master like Saban will throw at him. LSU needs to force Georgia into a lot of second and 8s or second and 10 situations. The Dawgs do like the short passing game but Greene has the ability to throw deep to very good receivers. The worst thing that could happen would be to see the Dawgs control the ball with long clock eating drives. I want to see a lot of 3 downs and punt.

As far as Mauck going for the home run more often I say take it if it is there but keep moving the chains with the short passes and the running game. Clayton has the ability to turn a short reception into a long gainer at any time. I would like to see more short passes to Carey designed to isolate him on a linebacker. I have been waiting for Eric Edwards to have a breakout game ever since he was a freshman but using a tight end as a go to weapon seems to be something that most college teams have gotten away from unless they have a Jeremy Shocky or a Kellen Winslow Jr. like Miami and and has.

Greene has an extremely quick release. He won't get sacked much, if at all, but constant pressure is a must or you will see those clock-eating drives.

IMO the Tiger will need to put lots of pressure on Greene. It's been proven that no matter how good a teams secondary is, they can't provide cover forever. If Greene has all night to sit back and find a receiver he will find one. I believe a good Tiger rush and pressure on the Dawg QB is a must if the Tigers are going to get the job done this weekend. I Think the Tigers get it done again this weekend; 31 - 17.

I agree with sabanfan. LSU defensive line pressure is a must. Will Pittman be healthy?

Georgia ball control is sort of what i am afraid of happenning. Keeping the Tiger Offense to minimum possessions. But at the same time they have to be afraid of that too. Like most games whoever wins in the trenches has a big advantage.

Hopefully the weight training this summer pays off in this game.

I am already pumped and ready for the kickoff. I love big games against good teams. Bring your A game Tiger fans . I will be in California watching but i will be there in spirit.

That's true. Whatever defense can force the most 3 and outs will definately give their offense the edge.

Both defenses will be on the field more than they have been in their past three games. Depth may prove to be more important than anyone can anticipate at this point, especially if it is 85+ degrees and humid at Tiger Stadium.

According to Saban's press conference that just ended Pittman is still questionable for saturday.

As for the point of the thread. I hate good lefty handed QB's, they can make you look like a bunch of dumbasses.

We must be careful, Greene is a very smart QB and the scrambling ability of Shockley could cause us some problems. Georgia is a very good team, but so are our Tigers. I'll be there screaming every step of the way. LSU 28 Georgia 24.

The D line is going to show up and put pressure on them, forcing them to throw picks. LSU DB's are very good. Saban will have these guys very focused. IT should be a great game.
