It hurts when the Bulldog fans chant "Overrated!" to the Tiger boys in the 4th quarter. But they're right. Not sure where this nonsense of "LSU has the most talent in the nation" came from. Perhaps they have the most speed in the nation at the WR position. But if you can't catch the ball, and our WRs can't, it doesn't matter if you can break the sound barrier with your feet. With a talented but young and mistake-prone QB, with no running game for half a season, with frustratingly butterfingered WRs, and with a defense who inexplicably just CANNOT FORCE A TURNOVER, LSU was lucky to win ten games this year. I won't jump on Les or Jimbo or Bo. I think they did well with what they had. I'm glad USC and Texas will play for the national championship. They showed today what the two teams who really have the most talent in the nation look like.
Lately, Lsu has been signing some top recruiting classes, no? Could that be where people get these crazy ideas? Let's wait and see if you change your tune come February if Lsu signs another top class. Face it, Lsu was loaded this year with talent that Saban brought in. Less should've used it to dominate but...whatever.
I'm not sure that they were chanting that about LSU. Other than Trev Albert, most of the media experts picked Georgia to finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC East. (we all know what happened to Trev) And many fans from other schools, especially Florida, said that Georgia was, "Overrated," when Georgia was undefeated at 8-0. My biggest gripe about the whole thing was that both Florida and Tennessee were both given top 10 pre-season rankings while Georgia was looked upon as being out of it from day one. I said on this very forum that LSU had the most talent in the SEC, but that Georgia was not very far behind.
tc whatever man, you don't know what the hell your talking about. LSU is loaded and AU is right les should have used it to dominate. we got outcoached and we were unprepared. This goes to everybody IF YOU COME ON HERE TALKING SH*T THAT LSU DOESN"T HAVE THE TALENT THAT PEOPLE SAY WE DO; IM GOING TO CALL YOU OUT ON IT CAUSE YOU ARE BLIND AND DON"T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!!!
True...actually very true. The only thing that I've noticed is when posters talk about the tremendous talent level at LSU, they make it sound like LSU is the only school that has it. And fortunately for the game of football, there are a number of programs with outstanding talent.
oh no doubt hawker. AU has more talent on the o-line then you can waive a stick at lol. many teams have a lot of talent. i do feel like that LSU is up there though with USC as far as talent goes but i feel like that our offensive coaches very much under utilized our talent this year and have since 2001. jmho though.
LSU beat Auburn, who beat Georgia, who in turn beat LSU .... JMO, but I hardly see where any of the three could be labeled "overrated." :dis:
yea me either. each has there strength. but caddy you can't honestly say that lsu didn't underperformed in the game and were not out coached. the tigers were also very very unprepared.
Look at the SEC this year and be amazed that anyone could ever say that this was a down year in the conference. You have a 7-4 FSU take the mega "hokies" to the wood shed. FSU could play the top six in the SEC and loose 5 of them easy. Personaly, I think that it was a good year in the SEC. Although, I think it showed that CLM didn't think that he could beat UGA when he flew to Dallas before the game to politic for a spot for you guys in the Cotton Bowl.
