One of the Clintons most ardent past supporters has abandoned ship in a big way. You are seeing some major in-fighting among the elite Hollywood democrats over who to support as the dem nominee. I was surprised, no...I was SHOCKED, to read about David Geffen’s comments regarding the Clintons. Hollywood will line up behind whoever the democratic nominee is but make no mistake, this is a major blood letting among the Hollywood moguls and it cant help any of their candidates if it goes on very long. There are stories all over about the Clintons support dwindling among the glitter crowd. Its probably a sector she needs in order to get the nomination. Hollywood has always been a HUGE supporters of the Clintons but all reports indicate they are fed up with Clinton shenanigans. It will be interesting to see how this plays out but Geffen making those comments cant be good for Hillary or the dems.
Dream on Robo Liberal. I will be 100 years in the ground before America elects a black muslim to the White House. The Red states will decide the next President and his name ain't gonna have Hussein in it.
Not racist. Leave the race card in your pocket dude. Barack is black and he was a muslim until it was no longer politically expedient. I am just stating a fact. Hillary can forget it too, because a woman can not be elected to the Oval Office either. Don't underestimate the political power of middle America and the silent majority.
pointing out that a liberal black man won't get elected isnt racist. a conservative black man probably could though. are you sure, i think he was always non-religious or atheist until he realized he had to be a christian to further his career. either way i dont think a half black man can get elected president. i know i won't. those middle american christians are scary. anyways, rudy g is the next prez. that dude got elected in nyc, where liberalism is out of control. people love that guy. and they should. of course the only stumbling block is the middle america we just mentioned, and rudy's abortion stance. but if he can make it through the R primary, he is a lock.
obviously. edit: i didnt mean to speak for sabanfan. it just seems pretty clear that a non-racist can point out that other people are racist.
here is one of my universal truths of life: if person A accuses person B of being racist for the purpose discrediting their point of view relative to their own, person A is a scoundrel 99% of the time.
You couldnt be anymore wrong. Nothing will empower the hard core church types more than a Hussein Obama muslim or carpet bagger Hillary with her slut husband in tow on the ballot. At the very least they will turn out in huge numbers to vote them down even if they dont like a moderate republican on the ticket. Its a stretch of gargantuan proportion to think that Hussein will get elected President. Its a scenario that polls confirm as something VERY, VERY unlikely.
playing the race card almost always means you are not capable of being objective. you ruin any discussion with it. it is the cheapest tool in the rhetorical toolbox. i dont think anyone here disputes that america has a race problem (except maybe me, i see racism as an amusing non-issue). that claim certainly doesnt justify your accusations. you say SF's "tone" gives away his racism. thats ludicrous, and it is the sort of thing liberals always do in order to reassure themselves that they have the moral high ground. anyways, the point that i think is indisputable is that there is a real issue with many voters who may not be willing to vote for black people. incidentally: list of issues people generally cannot deal with as adults. 1. abortion 2. religion 3. race
Its not who you think if you are referring to the Democrats flocking to vote for their party to control the house and senate. Take the state of Colorado for example. Many people other than Democrats voted for a Democrat governor and state house so the Democrats control all of Colorado. They won't do this again in 2008 once they see the message the Democrats send if they don't take the middle of the road. Thats goes for the presidential race and Congress as well. Find it interesting the Hillary vs Obama political war going on these days. I've said it 100 times and I'll say it again. Hillary has a snowballs chance in hell of being elected, its not going to happen. Hillary has made too many enemies or people who simply don't like her. Middle of the road people, libertarians, etc. I don't think a candidate can actually win an election without winning at least a couple red states, Hillary couldn't win one if her life depended on it. She doesn't have the charisma of Bill nor does she have the abilities to portray any type of personality other than a bad one. I also don't think Obama has any chance. Lets face it, the dude does have a Muslim background but his biggest problem is that he has no track record to run on. Either one might win the nomination but as far as being elected president. I don't see it happening, I think a different Democrat candidate could emerge. Lets face it, this Obama think is nothing but hype from the news media in this country just like the Vietnam instant replay from the 1970's which have carried on the last 3 years via Iraq, Ted Kennedy, Dick Durban as well.
thanks. i do find it amusing most of the time. i know. thats what liberalism is about. taking the position most likely to help you keep feeling good about yourself. true. of course it should be noted that i probably shouldnt be classified as a conservative. i do not understand what you are saying. are you accusing us of being racist and then simultaneously disagreeing with me that racists exist who do not like to vote for black men named hussein?
