I'm just checking because I have seen more comments along these lines than positive comments... 1. Defensive scheme sucks, fire Pelini (Ok I'll give you that one. Legit concern) 2. Les Miles needs to learn how to wear his hat. 3. What's up with the Britney Spears/Garth Brooks microphone. 4. The new uniforms/jerseys suck. I am very happy we win but I saw alot of stuff to be concered about. Here's my answers to your comments 1. I hope the way our D played was a fluke. If not then I feel like we have all been lied to about how aggresive were were supposed to be w/ everybody flying around and blitzing 2/3 I think the reason less can't wear a real headset is b/c of how high he wears his hat. 4.We've had that short stripe for a couple of years now so the uni's are ok with me. .
The way I view it is at least he's wearing a hat. Look at it like this, the more they show Les on the sidelines (on national television) the more those three letters L-S-U is flashed across our screens and the screens of thousands across the country. :geauxtige
Well according to most of the people, we're on the verge of a meltdown the likes the world hasn't seen since Chrenobyl.Good lord, the seasons just started. New coaches. Rusty team. Playing against a ranked opponent in their house. Good lord, they make it sound like Arizona State game was just like the UGA game last year. Geez louise.
Some people come to forums like this to bitch and get their frustrations out of their system. That's OK, I guess. Tigerforums is a low-censorship-zone. But if critical invective is all they ever do here, it irritates people very much. If you are going to be negative about the Tigers, you should pay some dues by balancing it with something positive and of interest to the forum. Those who only post inflammatory, mindless bashing of Tiger players or coaches need to get with the plan or they will just get deleted, especially non-contributor newbies who are often posers from an opponent just trying to start trouble. Such posts are a violation of the User Agreement.
I will say it like I said on another thread: We will get better EVERY GAME... And our original performance was better than 15th best in the country... That sounds good to me! You haters need to go shoot a round of golf or something
I dare say that was probably the hardest fought game we will have this year. Critics (in the media and as well as on this forum) can expose bad points in ANY football team's performance. I try not to worry myself with that so much, especially after 1 game. I take the win for what it was... One hell of a ride, with a "W" in the column. Nothing more, nothing less. Room for improvement? Well of course there is... And while it's frustrating to all of us that we don't see the 10pt / game defense we've seen the last few years, football is there for our enjoyment and fun. I can't think of many games that I've felt better at the end of because of the extreme adrenaline rush felt throughout.... Seems I felt rather similar after the Oregon State game last year. Certainly way too early to call for Pelini's head in my humble opinion. Give him some more rope.... if he's that bad he'll hang himself. He's got a long history as a DC and didn't get where he is now just because he sucks. If that's the case I'm filling out my resume now to send in to Skip...
Yeah we won.. but not in the comfort zone of a lot of Tiger fans. Think about it. The expectations. Losses are disappointments. We can't lose to Tennessee or Florida... No.. we just CAN'T.. Can we? Even if we lose the UT game 3-0 and the Florida 2-0 (yeah you heard me... no points given up on D), people will be having Pellini's head still. :dis: Give it two weeks.... :laflagwav:usaflagwaLSU!
If we win 2-0 or 3-0 versus one of those teams, I'll be happy. As un-impressive as that seems, it's a shutout. Why on earth would they call for BP's head for a shutout? They'd better go after Fisher or Miles at that point.... lol
