Channel 26 in New Orleans just showed Nick Saban saying that a kicker has not been named starter yet. He said a starter will be named after this week when he has the chance to see how each does on the turf in the Dome.
Obviously CJ had his problems on the Field-Turf in Georgia a couple weeks ago. He has been practing on the Astro-Play the last few weeks in the Dome. We shall see
I read an article in the TP earlier this week that said field goal kickers have only made 6/12 since the new turf was installed in the Dome. Carney today was 2/2, but 8/14 for the NFL is tough.
