The big uglies will decide this one, football fans...

The offensive and defensive lines will tell the tale of this titanic tilt on Saturday in Tiger Stadium...

My personal feeling is that LSU's offensive line is not only of mammoth size and proportion, but also talented size and great proportion. I think that Jawja just hasn't proven to me what they need to. Their opponents were just not the kind that "jump off paper".

Now, before you all go running saying, "But, TE, look at OUR opponents," I hear you all, and I understand...

    That's why I said it's just a gut feeling.

My gut says that the LSU Offensive Line is going to dominate the Line Of Scrimmage versus Jawja.

My gut says that the Jawja's going to come away from this game like a smelly couch cushion that's been frebreezed...Which is to say totally neutralized...

My gut says that Jawja's got a talented quarterback, but an offensive line that's never been called upon by a talented and MEAN defense to protect him to make those lovely decisions.

My gut says that while their offensive line completes an exercise in futility to protect their quarterback, he'll be too busy trying to decipher disguised coverages and hot routes to effectively move the ball through the air on offense.

My gut says that LSU will own both lines of scrimmage, and that Jawja won't be able to run with Lionel and company waiting for their QB draws and shotgun draws...

My gut says that LSU's football team will impersonate a school teacher about to WHOMP JAWJA'S @SS on Saturday in Death Valley...

...and remember, I've got a pretty big gut...

Agree totally that the Tigers have an advantage in the trenches. Yes, Georgia has Pollack, but LSU has a very good OL along with a strong line on Defense. Georgia has a very inexperienced O-Line. Will they be up to the task of handling our D-Line? I don't think so.

Pollack is good but their entire DL isn't going to be able to compete w/our OL. He's the only one I've heard of on their DL, while our OL is stacked, Wilkerson, Reed, Peterman, and Whitworth have all been on an all-something team in college. Pollack and Greene don't have the tallent around them to compete with the talent of our entire team.
