Ga Tech to Fire Chan Gailey

Didn't see this one coming.

Article says what did him in was no ACC titles, 10 win seasons and inability to beat jawja.

Hopefully everyone that has absurdly mentioned his name in the same sentence as LSU will remember the fact that he was canned by Georgia Tech.

 

Dennis Green is still available for a job along with Fran, Bill Callahan, etc!:lol:

 

is that worse than hiring a guy fresh off a 70 pt loss to tennessee or about equal?

 

I got a text message a few minutes ago about Bower being let go at Southern Miss. That SHOCKED me.

 

i heard that this morning and contacted my cousin who played @ USM a few yrs back. I heard he resigned. I cant imagine they actually fired him/forced him out.

if so, Id think it was not very smart.

 

Boy, heads are falling. Six straight winning season and bowl appearances. They may come to regret the decision.

 

Georgia just beat Tech for the 7th straight game. (a record streak)

Gailey is a decent coach but not a great coach and year after year he lost most of the crucial Atlanta recruiting battles except for Calvin Johnson.

This will be Saban's downfall as well if he doesn't recruit well in the Atlanta metro area.

As I write this, Richt and a few members of his staff are in the Atlanta metro area visiting key recruits.

 

Does anyone remember a few years back the UGA/Tech game that Gailey gave to Georgia in the last few minutes. It was the worst game/clock management Ive ever seen. I remember saying that he should've been fired before he left the stadium that day.

Anyone remember?
