1. Is he taking ya'lls Defensive coaches with him, or are they going to possibly stay on if the new coach wants them? If you guys get Petrino and let him coach the O and the current D staff coach the D, you guys should be awesome. By the way just curious as to why all of you hate Houston Nutt? He won some big games at Ark and coaches much like Saban did, meaning that he likes to play good D and control the ball, more than pass, pass, pass. I dont know, but I guess that would be like us hiring Fat Phil Fulmer, cause we all hate him. Good luck on your hire and beat the Hawkeyes!!!
  2. Because Nutt has been hammered by LSU the last two years. And we just dont believe he is a very good coach...

As for the Asst.. WHo knows at this point... We all hope most of our coaches are retained, I am sure Saban will take his sidekicks with him. (Dooley)
  3. I think that most people feel that he's gonna take them with him. I think that he'll definatly take Muschamp with him because I think he's kinda grooming him to be the next in line a la Belichick -> Saban -> Muschamp. But Saban was really the main brains behind the D. I don't know if the same greatness should be expected even if Muschamp stays (I'm not saying that its not possible).
  4. Mushchamp has coached under Saban for five years. He would be great as an DC on his own. Young smart and energetic. I am sure he has learned what he needs to now from Saban to be succesful

  5. But you gotta think that he might rather be a DC in the NFL than at LSU
  6. Saban is going to have NFL guys on his staff. MC is not ready for that big of a move yet. If he goes it will be as a line or backs coach not as an DC.
  7. I agree. Saban will take Muschamp with him, but he will not be the Dolphin's DC.
  8. We don't hate him. We just think we can do much, much better.

Imagine the Gamecocks had a vacancy and began talking up the head coach at, say, Western Kentucky or East Carolina.

Doubt there would be parties in the streets of Columbia if that happened, eh?
  9. Hey that really hurts that its insulting for you to think of hiring Arky's coach, but to put us at the W. Kentucky, or E. Carolina level? What about the Vandy, or Kentucky coaches? Thats sounds a little better, LOL. Even though Skip Holtz is the coach now a ECU and was probably, our second choice had the Spurrier thing fallen through:hihi:
  10. If I could pick one assistant to stay at LSU it would be S&C coach Tommy Moffet (sp?). Unfortunately, I think he'll be the first one on the bus to Miami with Saban.
