Fricken Chicken

There used to be an all you can eat Popeye's by the Tanger outlets in Gonzales. Don't know if it's still there but it was a thing of beauty.

 

There also used to be a Popeye's buffet in Golden Meadow. There's not much better than all you can eat chicken, biscuits, seasoned fries, beans and rice, taters and gravy, and all the trimmins' and fixins'. Just be ready to have a triple by-pass if you frequent these things too often.

I would advise anyone that doest have 45 minutes of free time to not go to the Popeyes on Lee and Highland. The absolute worst service I have ever seen all 4 or 5 times. Its actually so bad its funny.

 

It is soo funny you said that. I am not home very often but like a couple of years ago I was home and went there and it was HORRIBLE service then too!! Some things just don't change!!

 

I went there for MLK day, and the girl working the cash register was a moron. I asked for the 5 strip meal, and she asked her boss if that was a dinner combo. Her boss was like, "you've asked me that twice already today!" and then she pointed to the menu above her head & said, "Look, it is right here!". Then the girl looked back at me and said, "I'm sorry, it's only my second week."

Are you kidding me? Your SECOND WEEK on the job? Man, they really throw you into the fire there...
