ANY poll that includes North Texas above #50 is full of crap! Only reason Arky is above LSU is because they beat the mighty shorthorns. They must be good, right? Oklahoma is #1 because they WILL beat the Chik-fil-a rejects.:geaux: :lsug:
This poll clearly ranks teams in Fox Sports Southwest's viewing region. and, since it is such a Texas-biased show, they rank Arkansas head of LSU for beating Mack Brown's boys in Austin. That win is more important in the Texas-centric view.
Anything ever come of the efforts to contact Fox Sports about changing the Baton Rouge market from Fox Sports Southwest to South/Southeast so that we get more SEC football and a lot less (read as NO) Big 12?
No, I hope we stay with SW. I do not watch Fox Sports SW for college sports coverage anyway. I like getting Astros and Rangers games. We switch, and we get stuck with Braves games. Yuck. Unfortunately, we are stuck in the middle of these 2 TV regions. I'm glad Cox Sports TV is around to make up for it now.
Not sure how much Braves (Yuck) coverage Fox Southeast gets. But I would rather suffer through a little Braves coverage with SEC than an all-Texas all-the-time TV program. I don't mind the Stros, but as far as college football goes, I can't take any more Big 12 coverage. I guess that UT and eATMe have a deal with Fox SW that says you can't show anything on LSU football because it could affect our recruiting in Texas...
I have Sports South, and I dont see much, if any, Braves coverage. They do have a lot of SEC and ACC centered shows, though. Im sure that would be an improvement.
That's a really good show. Its so entertaining, I even break away from the Trading Spaces marathons to watch it.
