Fowler says LSU most impressive

He said on Gameday Final that LSU had the most impressive game yesterday.

 

then i nearly died when Kirk H said he also thought that was a good choice

 

He only mentioned LSU's performance so he wouldn't be inundated with e-mail. ESPN is a necessary evil, they carry the games. I personally mute the sound and listen to Jim Hawthorne. Besides, what makes them "experts" anyway? :geauxtige Ours in 06!!!

 

I like Jim Hawthorne but he makes entirely too many mistakes. I bring my headphones in the stadium and listen. I don't know if he lacks knowledge of football, but if you listen closely he makes a ton of mistakes. I usually get pretty angry when people on here dog him but man, it's getting bad. Last night they had a call for an ineligible receiver down field and when the referee made the signal, he said "No wonder he was wide open, he was an ineligible receiver," and he was talking about the guy that caught the ball. But that wasn't the call, a lineman was down the field.

Thats just an example, he often calls offensive guys when the defense is on the field and vice versa. I think it might be that his eyes are bad because he tries to focus in on the number and it is usually wrong. But he should definitely know who plays offense and defense.

 

I was listening, and I thought he was talking about the most impressive team that nobody was talking about. All the talk went to ND, tOSU, Tx., Auburn, USC, Auburn. Nobody said a word about LSU until that comment. Its like we don't even exist. They don't like us. If we want to get any press, we'll have to go out and earn it ourselves. Nobody gonna give us nothing. Poor little old us... :hihi:

They talked about USC yesterday? that's truly sad. They didn't even play!!!
I usually would pull for Texas over OSU just because of a southern team beating a northern team, but since espn has texas as their new love affair, i wanted OSU to beat them. I had a feeling that they would since Texas has a freshman QB and OSU has a senior.
Vince Young is gone, Texas will be back to choking in several games again.

Fowler: (paraphrasing) LSU has been one of the most impressive teams so far.

LSU fan: He doesn't mean that! ESPN hates LSU!


I'm having trouble determining who's more annoying (1) LSU fan calling for Flynn to start or (2) LSU fan griping about a lack of respect.

LSU beats Auburn...they'll be the flavor of the week and the "respect" will be there.

 

Fowler's comment was about which team NOT talked about was the most impressive.

 

Speaking of... I was really pissed when right before halftime, JR threw that pick and he came and sat down on the bench right in front of me. A fan about 6 rows up screamed "PUT FLYNN IN!" Way to support the team...
