I was just wondering others opinion on our three former qbs on NFL rosters. Who do you think has the most potential to be a starter. Who is in the best situation. Rohan seems to be developing considering the game last night. Nall has received a lot of praise from his playing in NFL Europe. Haven't heard much on Josh Booty. Seems a permanent 3rd teamer. Any thoughts?

Nall looked only ok Monday nite w/the Pack. Ro looked real good last nite w/the Pats, but in both of their cases neither will see reg season playing time unless Favre & Brady are injured. (They were obviously working w/2nd & 3rd teamers which is hard enough).
...And same here haven't heard much about Josh.

Thanks for the reply. In my original post, I did not mean starting this season but as a starter sometime in the future.

Both Nall and Davey are in an open competition to be the 2nd string QB. Last year they were both 3rd string so it's good to see them progressing as they gain experience.

I think Nall is in the better position. Favre could very well deside to "hang 'em up" after this season, POSSIBLY next. I wouldn't expect GB to sit tight and just automatically hand over the reigns in Cheeseville, but he's probably the closest to being a starter.

Brady, though accurate in the short game, couldn't hit the side of a barn from 40 yards away--He only had ONE, count 'em, ONE pass completion over 40 yards last season. The only thing saving Brady is the fact that they rewarded him big-time following their Super Bowl victory...But in my opinion, last season showed exactly what type of QB Brady is--excellent short to mid-range passer but CAN NOT win a game on a 50 yard pass--he simply doesn't have the arm strength.

According to Madden Monday night, he dosen't see Favre going anywhere for at least 5 or 6 more years.

Take it for whatever it's worth.

  7. I think Ro is the best of the 3. His success (I have a feeling) will be quite well known in the coming year or two. I think Josh and Craig surely have a shot but they are more 'thinker' type qb's that can be rattled easily. Ro has more of an instinct for the game and plays very well off of emotion. He did get rattled against Ole Miss once but it doesent happen often.
