    I sat next to Dobler years ago on a flight from houston to lafayette. i asked why he was going to lafayette and he said he married a girl from new iberia.
    i asked him about his dirty play and he said "don't believe everything you hear"

    Conrad Dobler - gotta be one of the coolest names ever. Remember when he played with that club/cast? First guy to do that that I recall.

    No ... but I remember seeing Archie running around Tiger Stadium with a "cast" getting his arse handed to him 63 - 17 :hihi:

    That would be former LSU Player Brandon Winey. This was during the Peach Bowl while playing Ga. Tech. Brad Smalling was getting beat to the outside by Greg Gathers and with cast an all, Winey shut him down. LSU went on to win this game. There was an old story about this, the fake cast, nick saban, Josh Booty, Fred Booker, etc.

    I do remember at a awards ceremony in BTR Travis Minor and Fred Booker were arguing about who was faster. Travis offered to race barefooted in the parking lot. :hihi:
