OSU didn't have many chances to put 8 in the box as LSU had at least 4 wideouts on most plays, they just flat out beat our O-line and beat them mostly with the front four and LB's; they didn't need 8 in the box.

with the way the running game was going, jimbo should have spread the field with 4 or 5 recievers then try to run. LaTech did it against us last year and were one of only two teams that had a 100yd rusher.

    Simple:

Alley had a few fumbles last year that really stood out. I think Saban made Alley even carry a ball around with him. Saban was afraid that Alley would fumble and we would never recover.

I wanted to see him get the ball too.

Green fumbled the opening kickoff, does that mean Saban won't let him return kicks the rest of the year? :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Just joking but I don't think that had anything to do with why he didn't play more. For some reason Jimbo kept waiting for JV to bust a long one around the corner catching the Beavs packing the middle. It didn't happen and a more powerful Broussard off tackle right at em would have been a better gamble.

I think Jimbo looked at the game film and asked himself what in the hell was I thinking.

talked to my friend who is a eq. mang. and he said alley was cramping a lot. He had to get IV's at half too. I guess it was from sp teams. He also said randall will start this week because JR only knows about a 1/4 of the playbook.

Serious question for you guys. Does the cramping of Broussard and Russell indicate a lack of conditioning to you? I ask because our game against your Tigers is a day game and this could play a large part in the outcome.

no not at all. JR's was attributed to anxiety and nervousness which he experienced only one other time which was his first h.s. game, per CNS. He said he was very anxious. He didn't even play half the game so it wasn't from fatigue.

As far as Alley, I certainly don't think its conditioning.... he's in excellent shape. prolly just the longtime buildup awaiting the opening season as defending NC's....thats a lot of waiting and pressure i would think.
