For those that think OU should be in this game

First of all let me say I'm very unhappy with the current system
and I believe in a playoff system where everyone has a conference championship game and the winners move on until
    a national championship is crowned.

You could take away 2 cupcake games that no one really needs
and start the season a week or 2 early.

    or if nothing else...

Have 1 more game in the future under these circumstances.

Lets forget about the system for a moment

What good does it do to play a conference championship game
and the loser gets rewarded with a chance to win the ultimate
    prize?

Is this the way football has been played since its beginning?

Tennessee was #2 and we beat them and it cost them a shot at
the National Championship but yet OU gets to play for one regardless?

Does this make since in general football terms?

I say screw the BCS and screw the polls.

Maybe 1 day we can get someone in charge of college football that is smart enough and guts enough to fix this thing.

Until then all football teams and thier fans will have to suffer with
    this injustice.

    Its not fair for anyone.

peewee football and junior high football makes more since than
    this

I suppose if Ou beats lsu you will be the one whining and saying you deserve to be a co-national champ with the condom boys since OU didn't win their CCG! Until every conference has a CG, I think it is a moot. You really should look at the whole season. OU is the only undefeated team in the regular season. You coonass boys need to find some other lame *ss excuse or accept the fact that at the beginning of the season, this is what they agreed to. Only losers want to change the rules in the middle of the game!!!! Jeez.............................................

If you would have won the conference you would agree but you didn't. OU STILL hasn't won a championship this year.

Well, I guess in that case, if OU beats the tiggers, if they shouldn't be #1, it doesn't say much for your program!

    Your incorrect,

If OU beats us under the current system you deserve to be #1
    not us.

To be honest with you I will tell you the same tomorrow nite.

I will be perfectly happy with #2 if we can't win.

God knows we've had our bad years around here

Put the shoe on the other foot for a minute.................

Was football designed for losers of conference champ games to
    play for a national title???

I'm not making any excuses, God

We haven't even played yet so your point there is moot

I didn't say anything about changing the rules in the middle of the
    season.

If you read my post it is more in general terms of football.

How many teams in the past have lost championship games and
made it to the big game?

It doesn't really matter in this day and age. Oklahoma did not make the rules. Don't blame us, blame the system. Hell, USC didn't even have to play in a conference championship.

ah i see you took this over to a new thread. thats cool.

my point is that i dont think its fair to say to a team "ok this is your conference championship, it hurts you much more to lose this. this is a huge advantage to the teams who dont play conf championship games"

maybe if everybody played one that would be different.
