Stats lie, they might be facts to what happened but it must be used in context. If you use stats then LSU is near the bottom or near bottom in total offense in the SEC, and they rank near the bottom in the NCAA in many categories.... so what.
Yes, it's his master plan, he has been doing the same thing going on 3 years now. It has nothing to do with opening it up, you know what play is going to be called with the personnel substitutions and formation.
Of course if the play calling was really tricky, then LSU-SIU would be complaining that we aren't playing to the strengths and talents of our players. KW is good at running outside, CW is good at running inside, TH is good at tricky plays. Play to their strengths!
I seriously doubt telling the other team what play selections you are going with is a strength of the team.
Dude you can call me what you want to, but you have officially been exposed. The name calling doesnt hurt my feelings, I thought you may have realized that by now. My skin is thicker than that. You come here and repeat the exact same statements on every thread you post in and as much as you have repeated them. They still dont make sense. Then you continue to misrepresent facts (dont want to call you a liar, its too evident) The difference is I support our quarterback no matter who it is. When Lee started the season I supported him and thought he would be a great QB, I still believe he eventually will be good. But Jefferson is the guy now. I never once said he was going to win the Heisman, but thats how you sensationalize to make your post relevant. But I dont even have to say anything anymore, you keep playing that violin as the titanic goes down.
Not real sure how you got under his skin, but I think you must have pissed in his Cherrios in a past life. Damn you MM. lol
im beginning to understand miles' thought process-- he has said it numerous times--- he wants the QB to be a game manager-- thats it-- making good decisions will usually trump athleticicsm. usually-- but as he gains expereince he not only becomes a better game manager but the system as a whole as well as his capabilites will ever improve- so expecting so much from him , so soon is a little off the top-- he does what he needs to do and always keeps the offense in the game with a chance to win ( so does the defense)
Exactly. We won 2 MNC's under Mauck and Flynn with this mentality. Manage the game, defense keep it close, and do just enough to not mess things up. A formula that has worked well for us and many others.
I think what LSU/Siu is missing out on is the fact that once RP was let go from the team GC was left with 2 inexperienced QBs that he had to cater his offense to. GC runs a spread option type offense. In 07 he blended in part of his offense with what LSU was already running. Last year when Hatch was starting he played to Hatch's strengths which was an option or run oriented attack. For Jarret Lee he could use more passing plays but when he started to struggle they simplified the offense. When Jefferson started playing they would roll him out alot to make his reads easier. Still inexperienced this year they are working him in slowly thru these 4 "preseason" games. Also GC likes to use misdirection and formation to keep defenses off balance. How do you set that up? Well you show these base formation and personel packages during these opening games so opponents will game plan against them then later in the season you catch them by surprise by altering the play calling. I don't understand the so called, self proclaimed experts on this forum whom bash and insult anyone that has different opinions than themselves just to try to make their points more relevant. Stats. Facts. These are not subject to opinion. 3-0. Fact. CLM 80%winning percentage. Fact. All you "Grass is always greener" types never learn that new is not always better. I'll take GC over almost any other OC. With JJ running the offense look for more of a spread option attach which is taking time for the offense to master. When JJ gets his timing down on the deep ball you'll see the run game open up. Also OL execution will improve as well as the defense. LSU's talent is young and is set up more for a run at MNC next year or the year after that. Most people here were expecting a 9-3 or 8-4 season. I believe LSU will be better than that. A large number of posters like to make the negative predictions for this team. When something negative happens they celebrate themselves as being a genius. When it doesn't happen they get ticked off at the rest of us realists. I tend to look for the positive but temper my expectations with realism. Stop throwing the coaching staff and team under the bus because they don't run the type of offense you would run. And No, I don't believe you'll be hired anytime soon either. :helmet::crystal::crystal::tigereye::milesmic::LSU231::geauxtige
