Has anyone ever seen 12 circles on the sidelines? Does anyone know what they are for?

These circles are right where the players are and they are about 3' in diameter and have numbers on them. They have the home teams colors and they are on the other side of the thick solid white line of the sidelines.

Does anyone know what these are?

    One guess...

I have seen 11 circles before. If you are referring to the same thing I'm thinking of, they are for special teams. Some teams uses numbers as one method of getting them accounted for before they go onto the field.

I think the head coach hires a voodoo priest to put them there before the game. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
