Did anyone catch Flutie's Blurb just before the start of the Rose Bowl as they were going over the scores and highlights of todays games. When they were done he chimed in with glee "Another Big 10 team beats an SEC team, yes." Craig James told him something but I didn't catch it. Then the Announcers of the game chimed in that the winner of the Rose bowl will be the Number 1 ranked team in the nation at the start of next year. Good ole ESPN bias. B
He said that the big 10 matched up well with the top three teams, but could not match up top to bottom with the sec.
That's not ESPN bias, it's personal bias. Just a couple of weeks ago we were chosen as the National Champs on ESPN's little playoff game. Where was this bias you speak of then?
The bias statement was more geared toward the announcers of the Rose Bowl stating that the winner of this game would be the number 1 in the nation next year. SImply because its USC and Michigan. They have been pushing and talking about the Rose Bowl as if it is the national championship game. Granted its there only BCS game I believe but still ESPN and ABC hires the announcers. As for the playoff and LSU winning it was decided by fan votes if I am not mistaken and not ESPN, but I could be wrong on this and if so my mistake. Us getting the most talented team in the country has flip flopped all season long depending on whom is talking about us on the network. We got it at the end of the season because we were playing like the best team in the country but earlier in the year there wasn't always those pleasant sayings toward LSU. So I guess you are right it is based more so on the individual announcer or reporter. B

Herpie picked against LSU every step of the way.Actually, the fan vote seldom went in LSU's favor, but didn't factor into the equation. B[/quote]
Ah I stand corrected as I recall voting for LSU online and thought that was what decided who won. Thanks for setting me straight. B
