I really believe the job the CBS crew and specifically Gary Danielson did during the SEC CG game went a long way in swaying voter's opinions Florida's way. Dude came up with that comparison chart on strength of victories between Michigan and Florida, and by the time he was done, it was painfully obvious the correct vote was to put Florida #2 on your ballot. Ironically, all the complaining about the SEC having to play a CG while a conference like the Big 10 didn't ended up being the only chance Florida had of making it to the BCS CG. Pretty damn ironic, indeed. It cuts both ways, I 'spose. Can you imagine if the Big 10 had a CG and Michigan beat Ohio State in a close fought game, what mess we would have had with a 1 loss Ohio State and Michigan haven beaten each other? Crazy.
Well when I saw the chart, I said to myself "that's exactly what I would have done". :thumb: At the same time, I was thinking, holy shyt I think he just knocked us out of the Rose Bowl.
Yeah, well, I did a chart to show my wife the number of time we had "made love" before our marriage versus after... damn thing looked like a tepee. She did a "Tressel" on me.
It reminded me of the SECCG in '03 when Lundquist and Blackledge kept saying, "LSU had a nice season, but they won't make the BCSCG." It irritated me that those guys SHOULD have been pimping their conference, but weren't. Good job, Danielson.
We need CBS to pimp the SEC to offset ESPN/ABC. I was pleasantly surprised they did it. I hear Herbie is on suicide watch...
Well if ya'll didn't know already, Herbie is not human, he's a puppet made of wood, sadly. Watch for the strings next time....hard to see....ESPN does a great job hiding them.
