I agree to some degree. In the more impoverished, hard-line Muslim countries, I think the majority believe the rhetoric that the West in general is to blame for their problems.
Those all seem like perfectly reasonable questions. Of course, they'll never be answered, but fair questions nonetheless.
as a general rule, people who believe in magic can be convinced of anything. the bad news is that muslims always convince each other to be violent. hitorically, christians are pretty kill-happy too. solution to everything: join me in taunting everything religious. make religious people feel stupid about being stupid. stamp out superstitions.
obviously. i favor replacing democracies and theocracies with martinocracies. i deride religion in hopes that people will leave their superstitions, but still need answers. and i will be ready with all the answers they need. i just want to replace one object of worship with another. you can go ahead and begin praying to me.
You make some good points but do you ever wonder why literally billions of people are religious and a relative thimbleful believe as you do?
yes of course. and i know why it is. fear of death combined with the amazing tendency of people to hang on to beliefs they were taught as children, before they were rational. plus enormous social pressure, as well as the fact that most people don't really think. and a few other reasons. do you ever consider the billions of people who are certain your christian jesus was a nobody and that the path to god goes through muhammad or buddha or ganesh or a cow? would you ask me the same question if we lived ages ago and i was part of the minority that didnt believe in zeus and poseidon?
You missed my point. At night while lying in bed do you sometimes wonder if it's possible that everyone else could be right and you could be wrong? Are you so confident in your superior intelligence that a little doubt never manages to seep into your psyche?
no he's not but he's not capable of making himself think differently. he can't make himself believe in something he has no knowledge of. at least that's what ive gathered from his earlier discussions.
