For me, The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's. My 6th grade teacher brought it in to school and played it for us during study hall time. I thought it was the coolest music I had ever heard so I went out bought it with my allowance. Still ranks as one of my all-time favorites. Notice that I said "album," as in vinyl. Proud to say I still have all my vinyl record albums (300+) and a working turntable! :geauxtige
Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell.. I will never forget it, I remember I saved up to get..... It was a tape....
The "Grease" soundtrack. I played it every single day after getting in from school in 3rd grade. I choreographed dance movements and knew the words to every song.
does this mean with your own money?? my dad used to buy me .45's and albums all the time. i had about 50 or so 45's before he actually bought me my first lp which was michael jackson's thriller. soon after i think i got bruce springsteen born in the usa and chipmunk punk (gimme a break i was 7). i think the first album i ever bought with my own money was in cassette format and it was RUN DMC raising hell. that was like 3 or so yrs later. and while we're talking formats the first time i ever bought a cd i bought 3 at once: metallica-master of puppets, alice in chains-dirt, and faith no more-angel dust
