It is Official. Good Riddance. I still think the NCAA are pricks for dragging it out so damn long. This was a freaking no brainer to me. LINKAGE
I'm neither surprised nor upset by the verdict, but the NCAA surely could have reached this conclusion a little sooner than TWO DAYS before USC's opener, eh? I'm sorry: it's a distraction...one that I hope like hell helps the Hokies!!!!
It depends on what they based the decision on. If was summer schools grades or if they were part of the equation then they had to wait. If it was because he signed with an agent and also took endorsement money than they could have dome it the day he asked to be re-instated.
It's not all the NCAA's fault that it took this long. USuCk didn't get all the paperwork in untill recently
i for one dont think that it was a no brainer...if the ncaa says that clarett was eligible to go to the nfl draft and he was the same class as williams then they dont let him back in after they reverse the decision...then that is wrong...you guys have a hard on to hate williams cuz he's with usc...if this was an lsu receiver youd be humming a diff tune...but wait...here comes my favorite part...when you say nick saban would never let this sort of thing happen...comon guys...i dont see why the guy doesnt deserve a second chance...That rule is bogus anyway...you can go to any other sport league outta high school...nfl needs some work on that rule
Not Sure I Agree, PurpleJoe I don't recall the NCAA ever saying that Clarett was eligible for the NCAA draft. The only thing the NCAA did was call into question Clarett's status to play for Ohio State. Since Clarett was kicked off the Buckeye team, he tried to challenge the NFL rule. He sued, and the NFL won as just about every legal scholar said they would.
