Does anyone have any update on the field conditions? I keep reading on all the sports sites about playing on a drenched field. I thought the field was covered during the hurricane. With the weather being sunny and warm today and only a 20% chance of rain tonight, it seems the field should be in great shape. Am I missing something?

The field was covered...saw pictures of it on the news. But speaking of the news, Jay Grimes said last night there was a 40% chance of rain today, so I don't know which is right. There were a lot of darker clouds a little earlier but I didn't notice as many when I was out a few minutes ago.

Heat index could be over 100 for the game. 20% chance of rain. The field is fine. It's just a story for the media to suggest that the field could play a role in the game. The field is fine. Stadium is habitable, although the press box & suites still need lots of final touches.

It's going to be hot and humid. A few showers around to kick up some breezes might be welcome.

I wonder if Fulmer wants his student athletes exposed to a heat index that high. He is concerned about their well being.
