Really I need 8 to fully make it through the year but I can get the last ones I need in the yard whenever I decide to just pop a doe or 2. Not hard to eat that many when you eat it one form or another 3-4 days a week. Between roasts, grilled strap and other methods with it, ground meat for burgers tacos spaghetti lasagna etc etc, link and patty sausage, summer sausage, jerky, and a few other ways it actually gets spread fairly thin. Throw in the big family and friend cookouts that happen often and really we could prob eat 10-12 a year easily.
