Last year or so began drinking single malt scotch every now and then. I like it with a little ice. Someone told me that single malts aren't supposed to be drunk on the rocks. I really don't care, I like it with a little ice and will continue to drink it that way. Just curious what others think/drink.*****hiccup******
Like Red, tequila shots to jump start beer, (I like Oro) top shelf Margaritas at On the Border, usually around the house playing cards I like Makers Mark and diet coke. Can't barbeque without beer and that's Coors Light or Bud Select.
I got some whiskey glasses with really thick heavy bottoms recently. I've started chilling them in the freezer (along with the beer mugs) and drinking scotch neat or with water. It cools the drink without icing the flavor.
I've been drinking single malt Scotch's for a long time. My palette is now spoiled on single malts, always on the rocks with a very small splash of water. I also drink Crown and occasionally drink Turkey 101 I usually drink Macallan's 12 year old, its my staple. When I can find it, Highland Park is also very good but expensive. I also like Balvenie and will drink Glenlivit when out. I like straight up gin martini's on occasion and will drink margarita's when eating mexican. Other than beer thats all I drink. I dont do tequila anymore :wink: and dont drink anything sweet.
I do the same with beer mugs and martini glasses, I'll have to try it. If you choose to drink, drink responsibliy and never, ever, under any circumstance drink and drive. always, always, have plenty of beer mugs chilled in the freezer. hell, i even do that for my non-alcoholic beer.
