What is your favorite wines and spirits. I am an avid wine drinker, i notice that The Dude, likes wine as well. But this is for everyone, I just want to get some ideas on some wines or spirits I maybe missing out on. But my wine list go on forever, so I will just name a few: Rutherford Hill-Merlot Polka Dot-Rieseling Maso Canali-Pinot Grigio Stags Leap-Merlot Beringer Knights Valley-1999 Merlot Louis Martini-Cab and much more Spirits, Scotch, Scotch, and more Scotch Glenlievet Johnnie Walker Glennfedich Blanton Kentuck Whiskey Southern Comfort Meukow-Cognac some Vodkas your thoughts?
Top of my list is Crown. Tequilla- Jose Gold (although the guys in the Yucatan say its not real tequilla unless it's clear or silver) Vodka- Sky and Grey Goose mostly Rum- Malibu, Bacardi, Parrot Bay No Jack. No Jim. No wine. No beer.
I don't drink wine. The sulfates in it give me a headache after two glasses. Beer and liquor do not do this. I drink Bourbon and Scotch whiskies, gin, rum, vodka, and tequila. Mid-priced brands in all instances. The low-priced stuff is swill and the high-priced stuff is not 2 or 3 times as good for costing 2 or 3 times as much.
It would take me quite some time to compile a wine list. I drink mostly reds and my tastes vary. I've had wines from all over the world. I'm currently drinking alot of Cally Cabs. One of my "go to" vineyards is Columbia Crest in Washington state. Their Grand Estates and Two Vines label are always consistently good. The wines are very inexpensive relatively speaking. I find that its easy to spend alot of money and find a good wine. Personally, I enjoy the challenge of finding inexpensive wines that are good. Shifting to the hard stuff, I like gin. Primarily drink G & T's and martinis. I like Bombay Saphire and Tanqueray Ten. Cheers!
I like Rum, Scotch, and Bourbon. Ill occasionally have a glass of wine if someone offers it but it gives me a headache. Johnnie Walker Crown Royal Gentleman Jack JD Single Dewars A couple of those were presents that I could rarely go out and buy. The high priced stuff is really no different than the mid-level to me. For football weekends it generally is Jim Beam.
Gin and Tonic with 2 limes- Bombay Sapphire Vodka and Tonic (2 limes) Pinot Noir-I've been drinking the heck out of some La Crema, but I'm ready to find another brand Chianti- Borgotto Scorpetto Abita Purple Haze or Lite I cant drink any brown liquor- unless I want to guarantee a hangover and a serious barfing session
Football games it is Swamp Frog and Jim Beam Black. I also like Jack, Grey Goose, Crown, and Irish Wiskey. German Beers, Abita Amber, and Coors. I am all about the Frozen Man Drinks. Gin and I do not mix and have not touched the stuff in a long time but I like it. I drink wine regularly and usually go with Pinot Noir from Oregon or Merlot. My brother knows a ton about wine and I usually get recommendations from him based on his research on winespectator.com. He explained to me that you may be drinking a good wine one year and the next year if it is popular they will change the name and sell it at a higher price. He tells me to find a nice cheap/moderate wine and year you like and order it in bulk at a cheaper price before they go changing it.
For Batgirl since she asked. Swamp frog is what we call our Everclear, Sprite, and Limeade concentrate mix.
