1. What will he be doing? Still coaching? If so, NFL or college?

Certainly his history suggests that he gets a 5 year itch and looks for the next challenge. Now that he is at the pinnacle of his profession, what challenge will he then pursue?

Regardless of the level of success he has in the NFL I think he will come to the realization that his true love is coaching college kids. This is where he truly has the most impact.

Remember his quote after turning down the bears job last year....."It comes down to this," said Saban, "Do you want to deal with a bunch of immature people or a bunch of college kids?" Well, he now has got the opportunity to deal with a bunch of immature people. Good Luck.

I certainly wish him well and thank him for all that he has done for LSU. However, with all of the venom that has been spewing from the forumn with regard to his departure, I can't help but wonder how bad it would have gotten if he left to go to another university.

So the obvious question is when (in my opinion) he comes back to the college level and presumably to a school other than LSU (since our new coach will have won 3 national championships in the last 5 years    ), will the LSU fans animosity towards him be tempered by the time that has passed or will they be more outraged?
  2. Or will anyone here care? I know I certainly won't. You are either a Tiger or Tiger Bait!!!!!!!!
  3. Nick Saban will be coaching the Dolphins 5 years from now, a very successful coach I predict.
The Dolphins are a very good team, how quickly people forget.

I like Dave Wanestat so I hate to say this but he can't make it as a HC in the NFL,
Da Bears and Da Phins are the perfect example but he got shafted by Ricky Williams also, might've been a different year otherwise.
  4. Year 1 - Dolphins go 6-10, no playoffs.
Year 2- Dolphins go 7-9, no playoffs.
Year 3 - Dolphins go 8-8, no playoffs.

After year 3 he will be fired.
  5. Lets just hope the full control doesn't drive him mad like old butch davis
  6. Full control doesn't always translate into success. Look at Mike Holemgren. Sure, Seattle is doing ok, but he's been at the helm for how long now???
