OK. Great. I can't wait. What does that mean? Total perception. Emotional argument. Emotional argument. Wait - I dig into this stuff in almost every one of my posts. YOU dig into it. Otherwise - another emotional argument. "impressed"? Emotional argument of the day. Defending Miles? You're not even laying down a valid attack! I'm asking for a valid post describing how there's a better alternative available, and how Miles is significantly worse than previous LSU coaches or other coaches in comparable situations. I'm not defending anyone. Emotional argument. Inspiring wins? Emotional argument. Averaging ten wins isn't consistent? Emotional argument.
I do agree with this point, and the value of a clean program shouldn't be underestimated. I think Miles IS, however, responsible for sloppy play (fumbles, penalties, etc).
Didn't know you were waiting for a statistical onslaught (also, got the point relatively quickly, excessive iteration not needed). Off the top of my head, last year: offensive rating, TOP, play count, performance against rated opponents, coaching salary, recruiting rankings vs end of season rankings, 3 and outs for, 3 and outs against, sacks allowed, sacks recorded, performance against opponent in comparison to opponent's average opponent. Last year followed a down year, two less than optimized years, back to back, something never attributed to Miles' predecessor.
Yep, now that we're into the sixth year post Saban, some RB fumbled due to Miles poor coaching. :rolleye33: I mean really, please, tell me about this history of fumbling that Miles coaching has caused. Please tell me. opcorn: More mental gymnastics.....from you. You're looking for ANY reason to discredit Miles. So now in ONE GAME, we had a couple of fumbles that nearly cost the game...and MILES is responsible for the sloppy play, even though in the previous 5 years, LSU has lost less than ONE handful of fumbles. (Not going to look up the exact number, because I don't want to bore you with stats. I know you don't like it when facts are presented.)
Name a coach not worth defending who has a NC ring, averages 10 wins a season and NEVER HAD A FEW DOWN YEARS. Fact is, until LES Miles ACTUALLY tanks a season, THE DATA, doesn't support most of the arguments against him other than known flaws...
I'm glad you were inspired by the Saints. Seeing as how they are a PRO team and we are a COLLEGE team, and the only players that make it in the pros were the absolute best of the best in college, it should have inspired you.
Well, that's enough. What a crybaby. I'm going to enjoy Tiger Football all season long while you worry yourself into an ulcer over the tragedy of nine wins. Have a great day!
Hell, the season didn't even start before the "Miles stuff" started. Miles has his faults, just as every coach has theirs, but he has his strengths as well. For realizing those strengths, I am labeled a sunshine pumper who chits rainbows.
