I wonder what good a "Matt Lavalais" plan would do.

It was very tilted in favor of the Ole Miss upset. "You will remember this quarter all of your lives, etc." Enough about LSU not having faced as good of an opponent all year. Ole Freakin' Miss hasn't face as good. Print that!

Oh, and one more thing: Curry suggested double-covering Clayton. The reason we haven't seen much of that lately is because teams have found out that if they do that, it leaves Henderson and Green WIDE open! Go ahead--double Clayton, and it's off to the home run derby.

Lavalais has been double-teamed a lot all year. Maybe they should triple-team him. Hill, Spears, and Williams would love that.

Guys, Bill Curry does this each week with one game a week. It's his take on how each coach will prepare for and approach the game.

It's just a plan. What, do you think David Cutcliffe is telling his guys, "Well, we're completely overmatched so we won't even try to win this thing on Saturday?"

Of course not. Sure, they'll TRY to double Clayton as if that'll make a difference. What else do you suggest they do?

Don't confuse his assessment of how HE would gameplan for LSU if he were the Ole Miss coach as it being his opinion for how things will go on Saturday. Cutcliff is sure to play up the emotional angle because that's the only thing he can do, really.

If you read between the lines---play with emotion, must play game of your lives, use a fake special teams play, etc.---it's obvious he thinks Ole Miss will need luck and then some to stay close in this game.

How is Eli Manning a Once-in-a-Generation....

"Eli Manning is a once-in-a-generation combination of talent, humility, brains and courage"

He is not even a once in his own family combination of those things. I seem to recall a brother that also returned for his senior year with designs on leading his team to a chapionship and himself to the Heisman.

This does not seem like a good game analysis at all in my eyes, then again most of the previews out there are Eli this and Eli that.

It's clear that many of these sportswriters ( save a few CFN writers ) haven't watched much Tiger football this year. Perhaps they will pay attention on Saturday and recognize how strong the Tiger D is.

Some of this hype coming from Ole Missus reminds me of how Arizona thought they had a team this year before the Tigers showed up and well, we all know how that one went.
