actually I heard about this on the radio and i thought they said to vote, but you can email the bcs committee or the members individually. It also explains how the system would work
I don't know if it has anything to do with him or not? Maybe just a coincedence. Anyway, something has to be done to fix this mess i don't know about you but I don't want us to share the tiltle to a pac 10 team that played in a softer conference and didn't play 2 top 5 teams and an undefeated top 15 team If thier able to beat Michigan.
Under this proposal, we could still have three one loss teams in the BCS championship game mix, including one that just lost its bowl game. This wouldn't fix it. My proposal: Take the winners of the four major bowl games and give them BCS rankings, 1 through 4. 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3 the next week. The winner of each of those games then meet for the true NC the following week. Two teams will, thereby, play one "extra game, and two teams will play two "extra" games. These games are played in early January when school is OUT! This does not detract the poor kids from their studies and does not diminish the bowls, does it? But, as I've been saying, this, apparently, just makes too much sense! This would, in effect, represent an 8 team playoff - much better than the two team playoff we currently have (although I do like it this year! ). This season, we could, potentially, be looking at, say, the following three "extra" matchups (two quarterfinal games and one, final, championship game: Quarterfinals ( January 10, 2004): LSU (1) vs. Florida State (4) USC (2) vs. Ohio State (3) Final (January 17, 2004): LSU (1) vs. USC (2) How awesome would that be???!! The games could be played at pre-determined sites such as Reliant Stadium, Georgia Dome, Metrodome, Edward Jones Dome (St. Louis), etc. Put 'em in places that don't already have BCS Bowl games so that other parts of the country get to have and see big games, too! What are this forum's members' thoughts regarding this? It just makes so much sense to me and would generate a ton more money. Am I off my rocker? Why NOT do this???
I dunno, but it sure would be more fair for the athletes and the fans. Chances are you wouldn't have to afford it every year.
