This is the first year in a long time that LSU has had real National Title hopes. I'm not trying to jynx anything, and I know how good the SEC is and how much football is left to play; but is there really a team that we should lose to? Am I the only on that thinks we could cream Miami, Ohio State etc. We may have trouble with Okla.

    Listen, all I'm sayin' is:

The National Championship is in New Orleans. :lsug:

I don't know about CREAMING OSU or Miami, but I do think we are in the best position we have been in for awhile. I am not thinkinh about Oklahoma or anyone else cause they aren't on our schedule. I think having most of our tough games at home will help a lot. Still we need to focus on just inching up the rankings right now. national Title is in the back of my mind, but right now I am thinking about cracking the top 5 by the time we play Florida. We take care of Mississippi State and that should happen...when is the last time we have been top 5?? Awhile. Lets just work our way down the schedule and if we are 13-0 i promise we will be in the Sugar Bowl.

I'll agree with lsuj2006. I'm not so sure we'd "cream" Miami--but I do think we could handle OSU. The buckeyes should be thanking their lucky stars that they were ranked as high in the preseason, because they're in position to drop soon enough.

LSU/Oklahoma, in my opinion, would be a HUGE national title game--Even LSU/USC!

But, you're right, not to jinx us, but if there ever was a time, and a team, that LSU had to make a run at another national title, it's this year.

...At least the early indications say so...:geaux:

    One game at a time!

I hear you guys, the thought has crossed my mind, but we need not to discuss it anymore. The most important game we got going on now is Miss. St.

I dont' even want to think about anything else..it scares the hell out of me. We all want it so bad! We all know it is possible but lets take it one at a time.

But hell can this team do it.....I BELIEVE!!!!!! I BELIEVE!!!!

But right now I BELIEVE we can beat Miss. ST.

    Geaux Tigers!

There is no way I could agree any more. If "it" (whispering) happens, it will be because we took it one game at a time. So, Miss. St. here we come!

Hey, didn't some hurricane do 2.5 million in improvements down there??

Anybody remember how lame Auburn looked after talking National Championship prematurely? I won't even discuss winning the SEC West , until we've beaten Auburn and Arkansas. And shame on us if we underestimate State or Ole Myth.

Now, I don't mind walking around with a Top-10 swagger. LSU sure as hell has earned that.

I agree Red. I won't discuss it at this time either. But if I was going to talk about it I would say that LSU - Miami would be a high scoring shootout. LSU-OU would be a defensive struggle.
Just like last year the Buckeyes look bad every week but they don't lose. If they continue the season undefeated the would be LSU's toughest opponent in the NC game at the Sugar Bowl that I'm not going to talk about.
