Ethanol good or bad

    when you are environmental wacko and you use scare tactics to effect collective action, this is what you get. wasteful government programs throwing money at ridiculous programs, which not only do not work, but they have far-reaching negative consequenses. ethanol subsidies hurt our food production and waste our money and make us less healthy by favoring using land for corn/ethanol or whatever over healthy local fresh vegetables.

    plus the whole food industry is already completely whacked and the government throws billions at big agriculture so they cheapen the price of all the wrong foods, which makes us all fatasses.

    I wish martin would start posting again. Like the above post, he often had intelligent opinions. The above statement now has been confirmed to be fact.

    Brazil uses sugar cane for their ethanol, not corn. Must have been a good lobby for Iowa...

    Glad this ridiculous experiment is nearly over. Unfortunately our food prices have skyrocketed as a result.
