Does that mean what I think it does? Is ESPN saying that LSU will turn the corner this year and be a perennial power? I didnt think ESPN had it in 'em.

"The safety tandem of Daryl Johnson and LaRon Landry has made the most noise, forcing their way onto the two-deep in almost no time."

ESPN needs to get it together. It's Jesse Daniels making the noise and on the two-deep not Johnson.

The writer of this article did not even bother to know the difference between Jessie Daniels and Daryl Johnson. All he had to do to know which of the freshmen were pushing for playing time in the defensive backfield is to look at some of Saban's remarks that were published in the Morning Advocate.

Diligent research by a national sports journalist? Not hardly.

IMO This so called "SEC preview" goes a long way in showing the ESPN knows absolutely nothing about the South or SEC football. They simply chose to ignore it. I'll admit that I watch ESPN three times as much as any other station, but their coverage of the SEC leaves a lot to be desired. They always play up to the "big market" conferences like the Big Ten. Even the Big 12 does not get its just coverage from ESPN. When it comes to college football, ESPN always puts Big Ten teams/Notre Dame first and PAC 10 teams second. There are simply not enough people to watch around the South for them to cover SEC/Big 12 ball like they should. I wish we could get Fox Sports South instead of the Southwest. Maybe then we could get some good SEC coverage.

I can't complain about the Gameday crew or the crews that call the games, but if it's on the website or on Sportscenter, I pretty much blow it off. I would bet that very few of the people who work there are SEC grads or have ever been to this part of the country and it definitely shows.

Did anyone else notice that we have 8 home games this year:shock:? I could've sworn we were playing Ole Miss at Oxford:dis:. It would have taken this guy a grand total of 15 seconds to look at LSU's website and get the schedule right.

Actually, he could have just glanced at his own site. The schedule is correct on that page, he's just a dumb ass.
